Luminor Chrono is a Panerai brand watch, which is exclusively produced in the AISI 316-L model of the company in titanium or stainless steel. It can be termed as a high-quality accurate sports chronograph that is excellently equipped by a precise movement, which prominently displays the functions of a chronograph through in-built counters of the OP XII caliber. The watch is available in two versions, with case diameters of 40 and 44mm, respectively.
The bold inscription of the word ‘Daylight’ inscribed at the 12 o’clock position of the dial, in the watch model that has a 44mm diameter, helps one to recall a special name specifically reserved by the company for a particularly important client. The title Daylight is the name of a box-office hit film that starred the famous Sylvester Stallone in the lead role some years ago. However, of particular significance to the brand, is the fact that Stallone was seen wearing the watch in this thrilling film.
Due to this amazing fact, when the model gained immense popularity among the general public, particularly the adventurous cine-goers, Stallone ordered a number of watches in this series. These watches had his name prominently inscribed on them, so that he could present them to his friends and associates. The company was just too happy to oblige and proceeded to produce and supply the desired watches. In consequence, many more watches were produced and worn by many other famous Hollywood celebrities, including their admirers.
In 2009, Chrono watch collections of the Daylight series were augmented by two further lovely models finished in titanium. The new version models were produced with a blue toned dial and were complimented by either evenly matching brilliant titanium bracelets or innovative alligator straps. The 40mm model of the brand was exclusively produced with a black dial with an alligator strap.
