HOW INSURANCE REALLY WORK AS A BUSINESS RISK
MANAGEMENT TOOL.
Businesses are the main source of survival of everybody, for this purpose, one should have an insurance cover for it.
There are so many insurance products that business men could buy to secure their business against losses which may have adverse on them.
If there is insurance cover over any risk in the event of loss, the insurance company would be quick to restore the affected person to his former position when he makes his claim as long as the risk in under the agree terms.
For different kind of business, there are insurance products that can cover any kind of risk.
Fire insurance, burglary insurance, insurance policies that covers damages to goods, are some of the policies that are available for business. In the event of losses or damages, there are insurance products to cater for such so that the organizations don’t go down.
During the t transportation of good to different locations, losses may occur on the sea or roads. For any losses of such, there are insurance products that bear such risks. There are insurance products that protect business men against losses in business, such that if a person does not make profit, the insurance company will come in at this time of loss to bail out the business from dying. If most people who are now out of business now about these insurance services they will have got the relief of insurance companies through claims settlement and would have remain in business.
A little premium paid, businessmen stand to give a lot of benefits in the event of the occurrence of losses.
Conclusively, if some body is working for you and knows that if any thing happens to him, his family will have some thing to fall back on, they will be more motivated to contribute their full capacity. Insurance is relevant to growth and development of any business.
Apart for the risk that insurance companies bears for the business men , the risk advice that insurance give before they take any risk is also relevant. So it is beneficial to insurance if the event should occur, you don’t need to deep your hand into your saving or capital.
Once you have insurance in place, you know that you are going to go to the company that is going to bear your risk for you and return you to your former position.

Questions related to business risks
What are the business risks (taxes) of allowing personal checks, credit cards and other means of payment?
I am opening a used bookstore and want to know the risks/taxes/rates I will face from allowing personal checks, credit cards, and other means of payment.
Trek 09 wasn’t a bad Sci Fi movie. Give it another name, and don’t call the character Kirk, Spock, Uhura, and so on and I would have enjoyed it as well. If you liked it then you are entitled, but I am tired of people telling the exact opposit that they have told you.
Tell each billionaire to give up 1 billion dollars to the US government
Anybody who has done any research on the subject knows this is just a way to get to complete government run health care. It's not up for debate, it's a fact. Even liberal parties are saying that the conservatives are right that it will create a government run system. The difference is they are happy it will.
I bet you people can't wait until pregnant women are giving birth in hospital bathrooms or dieing of colon cancer before they can get examined. Just like Britain or Canada.
Check you facts. Research what goes on in other countries with government health care.
This isn't about helping people, it's about government control.

Quote from Josh:
""Once the rules change so that companies writing new policies have to write them for all applicants including those with pre-existing illness and disability, is that really insurance?"
Yes, of course. That's the whole idea of insurance, shared risk, and it's the way health insurance used to work. The insurance companies are actually *in favor* of this provision."
———
Are you serious Josh? Do you even think about why this is a bad thing? The whole point (and fairness) of insurance is that you pay IN CASE you get sick. Not WHEN you get sick. Why should an insurance company pay for your coverage when you haven't been paying into the pot until that point? Getting sick and then going to a company and saying, "Pay for my expenses." is not insurance.
If you don't buy insurance ahead of time, it's nobody fault but your own if you get sick without coverage. No insurance company can survive when people only come to them after they have gotten sick. And it certainly is NOT shared risk! It's called a handout!
…………….
Wow to the person below me who actually believes all this will "lower the deficit". Good luck with that. If this passes, just saying now that I told you so. Our debt is going to crush us, and this will add to it.
Actually this was pretty tame by Shatner standereds. Probably the finest moment Kirk ever had in the 3 season of the Origina Series. It was classic action adventure leadership type stuff
This is not a question. This is a rant. And an ill-conceived one, utterly devoid of compassion or accurate facts.
Recently I visited a doctor and, over the course of 15 minutes of smalltalk, racked up a $600 out of pocket expense. I had health insurance I was purchasing myself, at considerable expense, but that that wasn't structured to pay such "small" fees. I couldn't afford better insurance anymore than I could afford that medical bill. I'm likely better educated than you, have a permanent address, and am a good credit risk. I'm attractive, middle class, and smell good. But if I were to become seriously ill or injured, I'd lose literally everything including, most likely, my health insurance plan. There are millions of people like me.
Do you think medical bankruptcy, a cause of nearly 60% of bankruptcies, is good for the economy? Do you think having your so-called indigent people able to obtain medical care only at ERs at considerable cost and often loss when regular, preventive visits to a GP would prevent most major health problems is fiscally sound? Do you think?
blah blah ……………………..rush says blah…………
no i wasn’t saying star trek is superficial, but that i’m insensitive to its deeper meaning because i’m a superficial member of this era, as evidenced by my enjoying the film and not being able to see enough of a difference with the quality of the series.
That kind of makes me rather immoral as you have described, so i am thinking i should give star trek a miss from now on because its quality is obviously lost on me, so i’m thinking I should spend my time on something more down to my level.
Star Trek isn’t superficial, Star Trek 2009 is about superficial people who could careless about right and wrong so long as they come out on top. It is very much what today’s era is like.
Help me man! What episode did this clip come from? do you know? I wanna see the whole thing. HELP!!!
Democracy never existed. Last time I check, you/me, we dont make the laws. Those rich lying bastards does
i agree with you. We are now seen to be and some feel it is our duty to be the welfare state of the world. I agree we should help out where needed, but we need to take care of our people first. We need to take care of the usa citizens who pay taxes, work hard, and follow the laws of this country. We shouldn't have to take care of all of the other worlds problems. I swear you hear about how people can't afford anything today, and its mainly due to taxes.. which are high due to the usa wanting to take care of the rest of the world and let illegals be here without paying anything or earning the benefits which they are rewarded. This is a huge problem for this country. The last vote says that people see this and they will not put up with it. Now we just have to enforce the laws we have and get back to this being the usa.. not the usmexico, usworld, or usanyother country..
Yes, thats just it, i dont’ feel any guilt about enjoying it at all but i keep meeting people who want to make me feel guilty, dirty and unworthy for some reason lol.
So thats it, i’m gone. Lifes too short for this kind of hassle right?
overacted, BUT I LOVE THIS CLIP!!!
If you feel that way, then you should watch the new movies. They sound perfect for you. Mind you enjoying something superficial doesn’t make the person superficial, we all have our guilty pleasures right
I do not consider myself to be liberal, hopefully it will not disqualify my answers.
1. Medical outcomes in the U.S. have not improved over the last decade. Private health insurance costs continues to rise and you get less coverage. In this example long term care insurance encompasses our population getting older as well as clean cost index to sustain health care by private insurance. Who will be able to afford the cost in 3 -10 years?
2. Yes I am insured and yes I have been denied treatment multiple times and I am healthy. Since I know how the system works I have manged to get what I need, the same for my elderly parents.
3. Yes government will really bring cost down. It is know worldwide that you cannot do business with the government unless you are the lowest and most responsive bidder, the only exception is the defense industry. This cuts both ways because government removes the profit motive, central to any business model. This is settled fact.
4. Medicare is running out of money, but it in large part it has achieved the intended mission. It came out of the depression era. Retired and elderly people where digging through trash, they had no pension and no health care. Medicare was designed to be safety net and to rid America of the problem of literally leaving people who have worked all of their lives, without anything due to the economy.
5. What I specifically like in the bill, I don't know is in the bill(s). I think that if we are paying for health care for Congress we should be eligible for the same thing. If it is not affordable to us, it is not affordable for them. Then they should have my plan and your health plan, let's call it even.
6. I would change the part of the bill that is unclear on how we would pay for this, if I knew what was in the bill. lol. I hear it is 3-4 bills in the Congress.
7. If the Congress deals with what we can afford it is a short term solution. I cannot say to you definitively that the nation can afford a long term solution. Certainly above my pay grade.
8. No I don't see it leading to single payer. I don't see it leading to anything yet, because I don't know enough about the bills.
9. Take a look at the stock listing for health care and equipment services below. Hell no I don't want government in charge of rationing my health insurance. Veterans Affairs health insurance is a good example of the question you raise. We all know how screwed up health insurance is for our service members. I feel exactly the same way about UHC, Aetna and Blue Cross Blue Shield. The only difference is one makes record profits, the other is incompetent.
10. Business will always take the path of least resistance when it comes to costs. Especially now. If small business does not have to pay for health care overhead I would think they would be very happy. They can put that money elsewhere. What cost swould be passed on to the end user?
11. It doesn't bother me, if this is going to be done it has to be paid for. Do I like it? No. At least they have the political courage to eventually have the discussion.
12. It is not the governments job to teach us how to raise our children. It is the governments job to make sure the water is pure, peanut butter is not contaminated and mad cow diseases is a non-starter.
13. Business is not able to bail us out. I don't see how government has much of a choice moving forward. This train started rolling during the Bush Administration, now we hear the rumble and the whistle.
14. We have to learn from our mistakes and not do the exact same thing that caused them to fail. What positives did we learn? Isn't that how we should deal with our own affairs?
15. Yes indeed. I have been in the industry for better than a decade.
16. I have to mitigate my own financial risk, but I have to have something to mitigate with. Isn't this why we are having this discussion?
17. No I don not yet know the unfunded liabilities for the program. I know the Congress has passed trillions of dollars for defense spending leaving us with unfunded liabilities. I am not saying it is right, but again, we need to learn from our mistakes in governance. As far as safe, nothing is safe to base any decision on any premise. It is all guess work, conjecture and calculus. It is for this reason, the lies about health care mucks up getting anything done, when something clearly needs to be done for the good of the public.
18. No.
19. Health care can be a fundamental right, however, it is not. In Sweden, Canada, Britain and the U.S. Congress health care is a fundamental right. In fact it is entitlement.
20. If you have an Apple Ipod flip it in the back and see where it is built. It is built by that country's poor. South Korea poor builds LG (Living Good) TV's, Hyundai Motors, they don't have unions and all make a living wage. Now, compare the nexus of cash flow and the skills of China and Korea's poor and ask yourself the same question. Our poor don't have the opportunity to build anything for Apple. What opportunities do our poor have compared to the poor working class in China and India?

Illegals are using your identity to get better jobs and then falsifying tax documents to take advantage of earned income credit. They are better at cheating every level of government than american born citizens who are inclined to do so. I think they must have plenty of help.
I am past the point of saying remove politicians who lie to us to get elected and then promote their own agendas once elected rather than doing the will of the people. I am in favor of the death penalty for any and all politicians who betray the public trust in this way.
Impeach Bush, Cheney, Reid, and Pelosi!!!!!!
People keep saying that Shatner over acted his part. THIS IS TV. He’s supposed to keep you locked on. Great, great, great…great…Come on! That’s really funny stuff. Great scene!
Yes, because they'll be able to make money easier.
That's exactly the way it's worked in Europe. Most of the smaller health insurance companies will go out of business.
The people who pay the most for health insurance – the sickest people, will go to the government plans, which will be "affordable" because they're taxpayer subsidized. The health insurance companies left will be able to choose the healthiest people, and therefore lower rates for those healthiest people.
Those with private insurance will have a higher standard of care, with almost no wait. Those with public insurance will stand in line – just like in Europe.
I promise, even if the health bill makes it "illegal" to sell a new policy – which I doubt that will pass – there will be SOME product on the market to take advantage of the massive adverse selection advantage created by the government program.
Just like has happened in Europe. In Canada, if you choose the public option, THEN it's illegal for you to also buy private insurance.
All you need to do, is look what has happened in the countries that HAVE public health insurance.
The kicker is, the main goal of the 'reform' bill, is to lower costs – it won't do that. And of course, they wouldn't touch tort reform with a 10 foot pole – but that would ALSO have a significant effect. So clearly, either our politicians are completely stupid, or that isn't the real goal of the 'reform'. I choose to believe the latter.
