Advertising... The Best Marketing Tip

One great marketing tip is to use an auto responder. Autoresponders automatically send out emails to people on your mailing lists or to people who have been to your website. You can then send out advertisements of your business or service. This is a great marketing tip because it is often inexpensive and sometimes free to use an autoresponder.

A second marketing tip you may enjoy is the use of slogans or logos. This is an excellent marketing tip. People will always remember a clever logo or slogan. Many people find it best to use a funny slogan because it brings people happy thoughts when they think of your business. Try to think one up.

A third great marketing tip is to put your URL everywhere. Get yourself noticed. Put your ULR all over your site, in your autoresponder emails, hand out flyers, business cards, etc. This is always beneficial.

The next great marketing tip I have for you is to use an SEO. An SEO (search engine optimization) enables your website to be listed at the top of search engine lists. SEO uses keyword and link popularity to maximize this result. This leads to more visitors to your sight and more profit. Again, this is another great marketing tip.

Another great marketing tip is your web design. A great web design can attract more people to your site, and keep them coming back. In addition, another similar marketing tip is to use flash pictures to get attention. Or, another marketing tip is to use eye catching photographs or illustrations or your product or service. This will attract more attention as well.

My favorite marketing tip is to use testimonials and offer feedback to customers. This marketing tip is a must for anyone who wants to show positive feedback of their business. A similar marketing tip is to post these positive testimonials on your site or to send them out in your autoresponder.

Lastly, a great marketing tip is to keep your domain name simple and easy to remember. People can't find your sight if they can't remember it, let alone if they can't spell it. A catchy domain name is always helpful.

For another good marketing tip, try asking fellow business owners. I'm sure they will have a marketing tip or two to aid you. You can then make some friends in the business circle and swap ideas. Eventually it will all lead you to a successful and promising business.

  1. You guys might also like my fanpage where I post daily free blogs and question of the day. Feel welcome to join HOW TO DO INTERNET MARKETING THE RIGHT WAY on facebook :)

  2. Besides Traffic Geyser, there is a free service called Tube Mogul. It works in much the same way. Additionally there is a software package I found called Tube Mastery (http://www.websitemarketingskills.com/recommends/TubeMastery) which works really well in terms of how to market on YouTube. The same basic information is true on the other sites, as well. Use your profile page to link to your site and use calls to action to get people to respond. I would just buy that program and familiarize yourself with it.

  3. LoL, dude it’s David DeAngelo.

  4. Hi there! Morning and Afternoon Drive Times are the best places for advertising….BUT DON'T SPEND MONEY ON RADIO!

Radio is the BEST place to get the word out, but advertising is a waste of money. Why? because as soon as people hear commercials they switch the station. I'm a radio DJ…I know!

Unless you have a ton of money to spend on a long-term campaign your message will be lost.

The best thing to do is get booked on radio shows as a guest. This is great for several reasons:

    1) It's FREE
    2) You can do it anywhere
    3) People ACTUALLY listen to a guest whereas they tune out commercials
    4) You can plug your website, products, services, etc. (Again no charge)
    5) You have a target demographic that LOVES radio and uses it daily.

Parents are one of the largest demographics, especially in the morning when they travel to work and shuttle their children to school, and in the afternoon when they return home. If you can tailor a great radio segment specifically for parents then you can get FREE and EFFECTIVE publicity anywhere in the world.

I book authors, business owners, local experts, teachers, psychics every single day and they all make a ton from the free promotional plugs they get during the segment.

You can get more info about using free radio advertising from the source box. By the way what is your business idea?

  5. Great Stuff!!! Thanks

  6. I would blog about technical things(shows your tech knowledge and establishes you as an authority… If done right) that would a.) Make your customers call by reading about enhancements and upgrades or b.)Give your customers answers to small fixes that you would tell them over the phone before you decided to come out: saves you time from being on the phone. I would also add a funny quote or pic to it that people would send or link their friends… Whatever draws them to your site and gets your name in their heads. I'm actually looking for blog sites at the moment so can't help you there, but I do read my friends techs blogs, at least the ones that have tips.

You could even hire a 24/7 live tech if you have enough business where you get several phone calls after/before business hours.

One thing I do is get involved with community. Find a local fair or weekend market and sponsor it, add a booth, get seen. A booth can cost you as little 100 for the weekend in some places, have it staffed and covered with flyers and tech tips. You'd be surprised how many local events would be more than glad to have another sponsor, even if its only 100. Gun shows, exhibitor markets, community fairs, bike rallys, blood drives, school parks and fields, sports teams, race cars/bikes, bands, concert halls, farmers markets, etc.
find an events page in your community or local radio website and get involved.

You also can have banner exchanges with other companies that have related services.

  9. I suggest craigslist as well however they might consider that spam.

    Try http://www.friendtrain.com

You can promote your site there and drive people to it by becoming popular. You will also get paid for your profile views.

    Thanks!
    George

  12. dude, your the man…and your business has ALWAYS shown it. thanks for all the secrets and the integrity. Seriously, thats good business.

  13. A good way to get some attention to is to get a http://www.myspace.com account. Then search for people in your local area. Add them as friends and so forth.. that is just one of many ways… also here is one, http://www.cafemoms.com or it might be http://www.cafemom.com ( i forget) it's similar to myspace too.. there are lots of others like it out there as well!

Also, when hanging up your flyers with the pull tabs on, be sure to remove a few of the tabs prior to hanging them. people are more prone to take one if a few are already missing,,, don't ask why, people are afraid of being 1st or something!

Also, make up some tri folds or business cards and leave them in dr offices and or churches, play grounds or parks with a pavillion…. or other places where there are always alot of kids around with their parents.. on the back of bathroom stall doors in certain kid places and or areas….
    get creative with it..

sometimes the simplest thing can bring you publicity!

Don't forget to put it (business name and email and # etc…) in your email signature as well, especially for those people who like to forward things on.. the more the messages get forwarded the more your signature does too, that is if no one erases it prior to forwarding.. but you get the point..

look for local groups in your area here on yahoo groups.. the list can go on and on….. there are also groups thru myspace as well….

I too am a stay at home work at home mom, and I too have a couple home businesses. These are just a few of the many ways to get your self out there!
Sure hope that helps you out a bit!
    Here is my myspace:
    http://www.myspace.com/givemeanumber
Here is a few of my home businesses:
    http://www.happyhealthypets.net
    http://www.thesecretmoneytree.com
    http://www.greenflameproductions.com
This last one, the green flame productions one..
this one might be useful for you if you'd like a website for your business.. it is very user friendly and easy to do.. check it out..

    Again, hope this helps you!
Aside from lots of free advertising places on the net, it is kinda hard for you to implement those, because your more local and not trying to reach a wide horizon or variety of people..
any other questions, get in touch with me and i'll try and help! :)

Oh and get your self a business email too.. here is a great email to have http://www.gmail.com

  14. some things that i have seen that are small but have nonetheless worked:

-have small (but nice) signs made to put up at major intersections where you live
    COMPUTER REPAIRS
    (123) 456-7890
    http://www.websitegoeshere.com

-most local libraries have bulletin boards that allow people to advertise their businesses/services. you could put a flyer up explaining what you do, and have the tear-off contact things at the bottom with your information.

-get the word out to your friends, classmates, etc. if you start by fixing the computers of people you personally know, they will pass the word along to other people they know who might be having cpu problems (provided that the service is good).

i hope this helped some, and good luck!

  15. One of the first things you should do is get a domain name for your product.

The Digitalpoint suggestion is a good one as well. You can get marketing tips there as well, and the first thing they'll tell you is to get a domain name.

  16. Try advertising on free classified sites like:

    http://www.khrido.com/
    http://craigslist.org/

    -under books section

  17. AWESOME. I love your stuff.
